Inauguration of Renovated Rehmat Ali Hall at Dar-ul-Shafqat, Lahore was inaugurated by Dr. Capt. Munir Akhtar Baig on Wednesday, September 07, 2016. The management and caretakers of Darul Shafqat also attended this ceremony.
Introduction to Locally Lahore
Locally Lahore is a non-government private organization formed to boost up the city travel, tourism, cultural, historical, commercial and civic importance of Lahore city. The slogan is “Locally Lahore. Discover More.” sums it all that it helps you know more about Lahore. Locally Lahore is specifically designed to help you discover the city and explore what’s around you. Locally Lahore is Promoting tourism in Lahore by organizing different type of events in historical as well as developed places of Lahore. Locally Team plans different mediums to deliver the history behind the places to Participants.
What Kind of Social Welfare Activities We do?
Locally Lahore is arranging events and social activities under community giveback initiative from last 2 years. Locally Lahore organized Iftar programs in Holy Month of Ramadan at different place of Lahore under community giveback initiative. Under this program, Locally covered Hospitals, SOS Villages, Pakistan Sweet Homes, Roadside people or travelers who are with fast, Mosques, Old age Homes, Labour sites and other areas. Also, Locally Lahore donated clothes for kids at Dar-ul-Shafqat, Chowk Yateem Khan in Ramadan.
Locally Lahore also planned a campaign to plant a tree. Under this program, Locally Lahore donated more than 1000 trees at different areas, parks, road sides, near mosques, schools, hospitals of city in collaboration with local authorities and concerned departments.
Dar-ul-Shafqat Living Standard Uplifting Project
The project aimed to create properly decorated bedrooms and halls. This included basic amenities of life, proper cleanliness, adequate room lighting, personal cupboards and storage spaces, study and computer desks for children living in each room. This prevents them from illness or unfortunate conditions. It improved their quality of life, promote strength, imagination and self-worth and likeness to spare quality time in their hostels.
How we are uplifting their Living Standard?
Team inspected the rooms and took special care of the following things to be care of.
- All Rooms and Hall area renovation work
- New wall paint
- To ensure repair of any stains, holes or damage on walls/ceilings/floors
- False ceiling to lower the ceiling height for elegant look of rooms
- Proper down lighting system
- Installation of new switch boards and wiring
- New wooden cupboards and storage spaces
- New bed sheets and quilts
- Proper study stables
- Room Carpet mats
- Repair any other damages to room
All Children excitement and experience was awesome after shifting to new rooms
Kids were really happy and feeling comfortable with their new rooms and finding new association with their living place now. Now the conditions of their room is extremely clean and they felt happy to see us come to their center and supervising, financing and executing rooms uplifting work to other rooms now. Now children are feeling good, They can sleep well and their health is good. They can feel proper discipline in things of their room. They felt great pleasure to spend some time and to share some smiles.
Team Experience
It’s a great honor for our team to be part of this initiative and playing our best part in community giveback, where there is real need of improvement with cause and goal as they are future of Pakistan. And this little effort can help them in their up bringing to have some sweet memories.
